Meet Dahlia
Dahlia is an approximately 3 years old pretty tabby who was trapped in Quincy. She is learning that being indoors and safe is a wonderful thing. Her foster described her as:
Dahlia is a great cat! She may be a bit shy or hide until she knows she can trust you. But by going slow to earn her trust we found she enjoys being pet and even cuddles up to demand face rubs. Once she figures out you are there to pat her she is all over you. Dahlia is also discovering that she likes to be a lap cat. She is a typical princess and demands to have attention on her terms.
One of Dahlia's best features is a deep cracked/throaty meow. When you arrive home or wake up she will greet you with it. Feeding time is great – she is very vocal and LOVES her wet gravy food. Dahlia is learning how to play. She enjoys string toys, chasing her tail and hanging at the window watching the birds and squirrels.
She has been around dogs and is learning to ignore them but would most likely be better off with no dogs.
Dahlia is in a foster home. Please email adoptions@quincyanimalshelter.org to set up an appointment to meet her!
