Meet Connie

We would like you to meet Connie. This gentle, little love bug is looking for a forever family who is ready to love and be loved! Connie is a short-haired, calico cutie who is approximately 8 years old. When Connie arrived at TCC she was actually in heat but has since been spayed and is enjoying her new indoor life. She has won over the hearts of her foster family with her sweet little requests for scratches and pets and her love for cuddling with them. She started out a bit skittish and had a couple of litter box accidents but has been a model citizen since adjusting to her foster home. Always affectionate, Connie has continued to gain confidence and trusts her foster family…as evidenced by the fact that she is always wherever they are! You can find her cuddled up with them on the bed at night or snuggled on a chair in whatever room they are in. Her foster mom thinks Connie is at the top of her class with her intellect – she has learned routines, knows how to open drawers and loves to be interactive! If there is a window, she is sure to hop right up into it and check out the scene but she’s also just as content to curl up on a chair or bed and snooze, knowing her foster mom is nearby. Though not a lap cat, Connie is an “equal opportunity patter” – there is no “off limits” petting areas on her. Connie isn’t an explorer so she may do well in a smaller home…she’s all about cozy! Connie is FIV+ but FIV+ cats can live good, long lives indoors…and that’s just what Connie plans to do! So, if you have hands that are good at petting, a house that could use a furry decoration, and can help Connie adjust to your home, then look no further – we’ve got the solution!

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online adoption application by copying and pasting the link below:

http://thecatconnection.org/adopt/adoption-application/

You will get a quicker response doing this rather than emailing us.

Also please consider fostering as an alternative to adoption:

http://thecatconnection.org/get-involved/foster/

We request $100 for each cat 10 and over, $150 for each cat 5-10 years old, $200 for each cat 1-4 years old, and $225 for each kitten under a year old. These fees fund neutering, vaccinations, and combo testing (feline leukemia and FIV) for your adopted cat, rescue efforts, shelter, and veterinary care. Our policy is to adopt kittens in pairs. We find that kittens are much happier when they have a companion and they tend to expend their youthful energy on each other rather than on your couch! Kittens are adorable, but older cats can be wonderful pets as well and they tend to be overlooked, so please consider adopting an adult cat or two!

The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats. To find out more about us, please visit our web site: http://thecatconnection.org/
