Meet CLYDE

FORT KENT, Maine - PAWS Animal Welfare Shelter presents CLYDE.

Meet Clyde- Don’t let this giant’s grumpy facial expression fool you… Clyde is becoming a real softie! Clyde came to us during our recent harsh winter. He received helpful medical care, and has been in a warm and loving environment, with all the healthy food he could want… and Clyde is becoming well-acclimated to these creature comforts. While he was initially very terrified of humans, Clyde has surprised us with how well he has been doing in the recent weeks. He has started purring, makes excellent, relaxed eye contact, and is curious about these strange humans that keep giving him toys. Clyde is a handsome giant cat, in good health, and is approximately 4 years old. Clyde has been neutered, treated for parasites, and vaccinated. Please come and meet Clyde and you may have your next Netflix-watching buddy!

If you are interested in seeing him, please visit Valley Cat Haven during open hours on Sat. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. or call Jean at 207-543-7348 for an appointment.

PAWS is a nonprofit organization that rescues abandoned cats in the St. John Valley. Organization members believe most pets can be socialized and prefer not to release them back outdoors, as winters are harsh in Northern Maine. PAWS operates as a no-kill shelter. Their mission is to get owners to spay and/or neuter their animals to help cut down on the population and give all animals a better chance at a quality life. PAWS Animal Welfare, Inc. spays, neuters and vaccinates mature animals before they are placed out for adoption.
