Meet Clarence- Sweet, declawed kitty abandoned outdoors

**Adopted** We have marked Clarence adopted, but he is still showing up on Petfinder.

Clarence is a big orange fellow with a fluffy no-tangle coat and a mellow disposition. Abandoned outside at an apartment complex, he endeared himself to the neighbors who dubbed him "Love-bug" for his affectionate nature. Several wanted to keep him, but the landlord said NO. Although Clarence is declawed, he doesn't have any of the behavior problems common in declaws. His litterbox habits are perfect and he is a well mannered house companion. While he was outside, neighbor cats picked on him, so he is fearful of new cats. He seems to know that no claws means no defense, so at the first sign of feline turmoil Clarence runs. We think he'd do best as an only cat or with a young, non-assertive kitty. He is used to hanging back and waiting while the other neighborhood strays fed, so we think he deserves a home where he doesn't have to stand in line to eat.
