Meet Bucky

Meet Bucky (male). Bucky is a confident boy that loves to run and play! He would prefer a home with playmates that are tolerant of his energy. He is currently in foster care with other kitties he was properly introduced to and does very well. You have to be mindful when holding Bucky to pay attention to body language because when he is ready to get down he will leap from your hands! He loves to explore and his favorite pastime is eating so he is food motivated and has no issues telling you when he is ready to eat!

Ask about our Foster-To-Adopt Program! Kittens that are @ 8 weeks old can be placed into approved forever homes in a foster-to-adopt situation prior to adoption. To begin the process simply submit an adoption application located on our web page at operationhood.org. Once we receive your application our Adoption Coordinator will contact you!

Adoption Fee's:
Under 6 months – $150.00
6 months to 1 year – $100.00
Over 1 year – $75.00

The Foster-to Adopt program is in place for two primary reasons:

1.) To monitor the dynamics with other pets and make sure the addition to the family is a positive experience prior to the commitment to adopt.

2.) To allow the kitten(s) to be in and become comfortable with its’ forever home in cases where the animal is too young to be spayed or neutered. Once the kitten is of age and ready to be spayed/neutered we will arrange the appointment for you to take them in. There is not place like home to get lots of TLC and recovery is less stressful where you feel comfortable!

Please keep in mind the commitment when adopting kitten(s) as the the typical lifespan ranges somewhere between 13 and 17 years, according to the ASPCA. However, it isn't uncommon for indoor cats to live to at least 20+ years.

All cats adopted through Operation Hood have been or will be (depending on age) spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and receive FeLV/FIV tests, rabies vaccination, de-wormer, and flea & tick treatment.
