Meet Branna

FOSTERED IN: Oak Forest, IL 60452
COLOR/BREED: Black Longhair
KIDS: 12+
DOGS: Some
CATS: Some

Branna was a stray who gave birth at an animal control facility.

Branna was still just a kitten herself, when she gave birth to kittens at an animal control facility. Despite being barely (about) a year old herself, Branna is not exceptionally high energy. She likes to play at times, but also is completely calm and relaxed overall. She will walk up to greet visitors, but is not overwhelming. If they offer to pet her, she offers to stick around a little longer because she loves being pet. Long haired cats generally need more grooming than their short haired counterparts, but her adopter is in luck, Branna LOVES to be brushed. If you stop before she is ready Branna will reach her paw and tap you.

Branna is a sweet, smart, beautiful girl. She is confident but not bold. She loves to sit on her foster mom’s lap for attention and will occasionally reach up and lick her foster mom’s forehead in approval. Although she is not loud, she is vocal. She uses her quiet little meows and chirps to get your attention

Branna is being fostered in a home with cats and dogs and is being slowly introduced to them now that her kittens are old enough. She was comfortable with the polite, calm dog, but was less comfortable with the younger, more pushy dogs. She would likely do just fine in a home with a dog who will not overwhelm her. Her introductions to the resident cats have gone well, but she did not like when they entered the room that she had been in to raise her kittens and where her food is kept. Branna is being fostered with teen-aged children, and is friendly with everyone. She should be adopted into a home with children 12+ because she will not be the type of cat that younger children would be drawn to as she often likes to just observe and doesn’t love to be picked up or carried.
