Meet BOYD!

MEET BOYD!

This uniquely handsome 10+ year old kitty is named Boyd! Boyd made his way to City of Elderly Love after being found as a stray and brought to Philly's animal control shelter. We were more than happy to bust Boyd out of the shelter and help him recover from his time on the streets, which he has done fully! He's now ready to land the perfect home.

Boyd may look a little different with crinkled ears from prior untreated ear infections and a sweet, sad face though is not sad at all! Boyd is a pleasant boy who absolutely loves to cuddle with his foster family. He responds to his name and will follow you around like a dog. And much like a dog, Boyd has a very healthy appetite and will beg for the food on your plate if you pay attention to him. Boyd is currently living with older kids and is sweet and social with them, though we think rambunctious younger kids may scare him. He is also living with other cats and gets along with them well! He does prefer to be the boss in the relationship though. Boyd is sharing his foster home with dogs and doesn't love them. He'll share a lap with his Pug foster brother as long as he stays very still. If the dog shows him any attention, he'll give him a quick bop on the face. We think he'd be happiest in a home without dogs or with dogs who don't pay him attention. This chirpy, chatty boy is going to make one lucky family very happy!

Boyd has received a full veterinary workup since coming to the rescue including blood work and receiving a dental cleaning under sedation. Besides being a little stiff in his hips which he'd benefit from remaining on a pain medication called gabapentin. He has no trouble jumping up on the couch or bed though! Consider adopting this amazing boy!

Boyd is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is also FIV/FeLV negative. Interested in adopting him? Visit www.cityofelderlylove.org to complete an online adoption questionnaire or email us at info@cityofelderlylove.org!
