Meet Asha, a quiet, gentle girl with a former-feral past who’s ready for the sweet life indoors! She is approximately 1 year old.

This petite and pretty torbie (tortoiseshell/tabby) whose name means “hope” in Hindi recently acclimated to life with humans and is still learning to trust us. She needs a cat-savvy home where she can settle in at her own pace.

In foster care, she has come a long way from her feral past—and is living up to her name: hope! This calm and curious cat now loves to play with toys, relax on the windowsill, and follow her people around. Her favorite things include running through her play tunnel and pouncing on her dangle toy. Plus, Asha recently learned the joy of human touch and enthusiastically accepts pets and chin scratches when she is calm and relaxed.

In the right home, she will continue to build trust and confidence.

What Asha’s looking for in a home:
- She’s new to indoor life with humans, so she needs a kind and patient guide to help her continue adjusting. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers make her nervous.
- She’ll need extra time and TLC to build trust.
- She prefers to be the only cat in the house for now, but she might benefit from a younger brother after she bonds with her people.
- She feels at ease in a quiet and calm environment where she can continue building confidence.
- She needs to live indoors only.
- She has a positive history with other cats.
- She has no known history with dogs.
- She has no known history with children.
