He arrived - a bundle of tired and exhaustion.
A miserable sight of mangled ear and course fur,
putting up the barest of fights before collapsing in my arms.

A cat that lived in a corner of our office
barely taking up any other space except to eat.
Only over the course of a week, he would finally
start to lean into an outreached hand. Weeks would pass
before he started to bellycrawl out of his hiding space
- the barest of exposures - to smash his head into mine.
As he grew braver and more confident, this turned into
flopping on the floor, in my lap, at times upside down...
At least until another person or animal came into the room.

Around early August, he decided the entire house was his domain. He now jumps on my lap while I work, purring and rolling all over my laptop. He no longer instantly flees from others and tolerates a few pets. The St. Bernard gets head butts, the blind dog gets head swats.

He's ready - for someone patient that's willing to let him decompress. He tends to lash out when overwhelmed. He doesn't seem to mind other cats (although mine hate him) and will - given time - be able to share space with
dogs that are content to hang together. He has all the love to give he just needs to find that person willing to let him do it in his time.

We don't know Armstrong's age but believe him to be middle-aged. He is vaccinated, neutered, and healthy despite his rough past. Apply to adopt Armstrong at!
