• AnyBehaviorIssues :
• Has started screaming or "chirping" loudly in the mornings since our 2nd child. We have a dog and a 3.5 yr old. If we let the bird out with the dog he flies away as the dog is curious and tries to get near him. Our son regularly goes near the cage and will feed him on his own and sammy has always been good about it.
• Reason :
• This is my wifes fathers bird, he passed 10 years ago and we took him in. We used to be able to let him out and spend time with him but this became less an less often after our first baby. Now that we have 2 children we rarely have time to take him out and we feel bad for the bird and he has obviously become bored because he screams/chirps much more often now, it wakes up the children from naps and is disruptive. We feel it would be a much better situation if he was taken in by someone that had the time to spend with him that he deserves. We did get him a new bigger cage after the first baby but its still not fair to him to be locked up all day.
