The Big Cheesy Litter - 2 adults, 11 babies's Story
Meet the Cheeses Litter

Say hello to Daddy Cheese, Mama Brie, and their adorable crew of ten babies—4 boys and 6 girls. This sweet family came to us after an accidental “oops” litter left a very young owner quickly overwhelmed. Wanting the rats to have the best chance possible, the family surrendered them to rescue so they could find safe, loving homes.

Daddy Cheese is a big, chunky Russian blue boy with plenty of charm and a very affectionate, kissy personality. Mama Brie is a darling black berkshire girl who is calm, gentle, and sweet-natured. Both parents are estimated to be around 6–8 months old. Their babies were approximately 8 weeks old at intake and are now ready to begin finding forever homes.

This litter is a gorgeous mix of Russian blues, Russian doves, champagnes, and one extra special little runt boy who is a black hooded. All are top ear with smooth standard coats. These babies have been handled regularly and are very social, sweet, curious, and inquisitive little rats. These youngsters are playful, outgoing, and full of personality, while Cheese and Brie have clearly passed along their wonderful temperaments.

We will be keeping family bonds in mind when placing them, with hopes of keeping the boys together and the girls together if possible, though smaller pair or trio groupings may also be considered depending on personalities and compatibility.

If you’ve been hoping to add some sweet young rats to your home, this is a truly special group with lots of variety, charm, and great personalities to choose from.

The boys are currently in foster care in Chamblee, GA, and the girls are in Roswell, GA.

Standard Adoption fee: $30 for single /$35 for pair / $40 for three or more

Apply to adopt at: www.garatrescue.weebly.com
_______________________________
Please Note: The photos above were taken during transport with a volunteer after this family was surrendered in the enclosure shown. The Georgia Rat Rescue does not recommend or endorse housing rats in glass tanks or aquariums, and we generally do not use them for transport either except in unusual rescue intake circumstances when that is how the animals arrived.
