Lynn is a blind female syrian hamster who's come out of a horrible situation. There was 56 hamsters dropped off at a reptile rescue by the owners friend. Out of those hamsters, we agreed to take in 50. They came from a situation that got out of hand with 4 escaped hamsters breeding throughout the owners home, totaling around 200. Out of all the ones we've received, only a handful had minor injuries.

Because of all the chaos, we can only guess based off of body size/coat condition and developmental features, she is estimated to be older than 4 months old.

Lynn is blind (due to genetics), however hamsters in general have terrible vision. The best sense is their sense of smell. So you the owner, do not need to worry about special care. The only thing we'd recommend is NO HIGH OBJECTS! It's best to keep them entertained underground, so plenty of bedding depth for her.

She's active above surface at night, is friendly and curious and is hand tame, but squirms because she wants to "go go go"! She is okay with smelling your hand and taking treats from it. It doesn't bother her. She's a very active female, so we would love to see her future owners take her out for play time in a playpen with treats. She is an explorer and has shown interest wanting to come out all the time. We just advise to make her playpen one for foraging and for her future owners to not use a wire cage. She needs an active family for her energy.

Lynn will be good in a home with older teens to adults, no kids please since she is blind and would not be able to see quick motions. Beginner or experienced homes are fine!
