Meet Jojo

Little Jojo is still a baby to us since she is just 9 months old. Her owners brought her in with a second guinea pig telling us there is now a family member with hay allergies and they are moving. The two pigs did not get along were kept in separate cages. Pigs are very social animals and usually do prefer to have a friend rather than be alone. An experienced pig owner that has a female pig in need of a friend may want to try her. If she is adopted alone she will need a minimum of 30 minutes twice a day of love and attention and having her cage cleaned to stay a friendly girl.


Guinea pigs are active, gentle, relatively low maintenance pets that love companionship, delight in cuddles, and make great pets for gentle children six years old and up. Guinea pigs are happiest when they have a clean cage and lots of interactive socialization time with their person. They do require fresh hay and greens (lettuce, parsley, basil, etc.) on a daily basis and adopters should consider this expense when adding a guinea pig to their family.
