Gigi and Lola's Story
These pretty american sisters came into the rescue because the owner has a new job that is giving her no time to properly care for her pets.

Gigi is 3 1/2 years old. She is a black and white american.

Her sister, Lola is tri color and is 3 years old. Lola is also completely blind and has been since birth, due to a genetic defect.
That doesn't hold her back, though, since guinea pigs rely much more on their hearing, whiskers and sense of smell. She does startle easily so let her hear your voice and sniff your hand before you try to pick her up. Be sure to keep her cage set up the same so she can find her way around. Also, keep her hay on the floor of the cage since reaching up to a hay feeder can cause an eye injury if she were to hit it by accident. Other than her visual impairment, she is a healthy, curious girl.

The girls get along great and would love to be adopted together.

Please complete an adoption application if you can give Lola and Gigi a happy new home!!
