Wonderland Rabbit Rescue

Melvindale, MI

Our Mission

PLEASE DO NOT CALL US TO SURRENDER YOUR ANIMAL OR ABOUT SEEING A DOMESTIC RABBIT RUNNING WILD.  WE CANNOT HELP AT THIS TIME.

REGARDING WILD BUNNIES: WONDERLAND IS NOT LEGALLY ABLE TO ASSIST WITH WILD RABBITS EITHER.  IF YOU FIND A NEST THAT HAS BEEN DISTURBED YOU CAN FIND HELP ON THE MICHIGAN DNR WEBSITE.   YOUR ABSOLUTE BEST BET IS TO PUT THE BABY BACK IN THE NEST WHERE YOU FOUND IT.  MOTHER BUNNY ONLY COMES AT DAWN AND DUSK TO FEED.  RARELY ARE THE BABIES ACTUALLY ORPHANED.  IF YOU ARE POSITIVE THE BABY IS ORPHANED, PLEASE SEARCH THE INTERNET FOR DNR REHABILITATORS IN YOUR STATE (THERE IS A LIST BY STATE AND COUNTY ON THE MI DNR’S WEB PAGE).  THANK YOU.

WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND CONSIDERATION DURING A DIFFICULT TIME. WE WILL BE BACK WITH MORE FUR KIDS SOON.

Adoption Policy

YOUR FIRST STEP IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ONE OF OUR RABBITS OR OTHER SMALL ANIMALS:

We want to make sure you get the rabbit (or other small animal) that is right for your household.  Please go to www.wonderlandrabbitrescue.com, for an application to fill out.  All adoptions will not be considered without a completed application.

By the way, we do not adopt animals to families with children under the age of 14.  Because a rabbit's life span is 10+ years, you have to remember that as a child grows their interested become more varied and a rabbit can become overlooked.  We adopt out rabbits as part of the FAMILY and all family members must be willing to care for and love the animal.

The best place for lots of information on Wonderland Rabbit Rescue is to visit our website at www.wonderlandrabbitrescue.com .  There is an Adoption Application that asks lots of questions.
