Meet Toretta
Toretta is a beautiful fully grown female sideneck turtle who spent many years as a classroom pet until the teacher decided they no longer wanted her.
Toretta is missing a rear leg and while she swims wonderfully considering, may not be able to compete for food amongst a large group of other turtles.
She is very confident and stoic in personality but loves her food and would do well in nearly any family with the right set up to care for her
We don't know Toretta's exact age but based on her history and size she is 20+ years old.
Sideneck turtles enjoy deep water swimming and spend a lot of time on the bottom of the water area skimming for snacks. They do need a land area as well with UVB lighting to facilitate proper metabolism.
