Theodore & Gem's Story
Meet Theodore & Gem!

This is a very cute, small/medium-sized bonded pair. Theodore was found in Richmond with frostbite (Nov. 2021). Gem is one of Ruth's babies — found, when they were 2 or 3 days old, on a construction site as workers were getting ready to pour cement (Oct. 2021). Gem has a white dot on her nose and one white foot. Theodore has a white nose/mouth, white marking on his forehead, and white around his neck.

They are cautious and curious, but can be playful. They both enjoy playing in boxes, tunnels, and other things they can hide in.

Theodore gives kisses, but you have to earn his trust first. If Theodore had a trade, it would be in demolition or construction. He spends his time remodelling boxes, tunnels, and hidey houses. He loves having a digging box.

Theo and Gem would do best in a rabbit-experienced home with no other rabbits in the home. They were okay with a respectful cat and dog in past foster homes. If you're interested in this wonderful pair, apply today!

The adoption fee is $150 for the pair. Please do your research and if you're interested in any of our rabbits, go to www.vrra.org to fill in our adoption application. We follow the House Rabbit Society adoption policies. For everything you need to know about caring for a bunny, visit the House Rabbit Society website at: www.rabbit.org. We strongly encourage all prospective bunny adopters to pick up a copy of “The House Rabbit Handbook: How to Live with an Urban Rabbit,” available from most online sellers (e.g., Amazon) as well at our shelter.
