Meet Sugar formerly known as Davina

From our amazing foster:

Meet Sugar, the super sweet bunny with a broken castor color pattern and fur similar to that of Havana rabbits. Sugar may have had a rough past, but she's ready to find a loving home where she can feel safe and cherished.

At first, Sugar can be a bit skittish, but with time and trust-building, she will warm up to you. However, she is not fond of being caught or picked up and prefers to have her feet on the ground. Once she feels secure, Sugar exhibits remarkable calmness and enjoys spending time with her human companion, whether it's grooming sessions or simply sitting together.

Sugar's physical condition includes a partially limp left ear, but there's a possibility of improvement over time. Her right ear, on the other hand, is always alert and upright, ready to catch any sounds of interest. While she may not be comfortable being petted in a vulnerable position, Sugar has started to show more relaxation, even bunny flopping.

In terms of behavior, Sugar seems uninterested in chewing on toys or furniture, displaying good manners in that regard. However, she does have a penchant for climbing and exploring shelves, though she's not thrilled about being removed from them.

On the hygiene front, Sugar is almost fully potty trained and maintains excellent litter box habits. She takes pride in her clean, white fluffy feet and keeps her messes inside the designated area.

When it comes to mealtime, Sugar adores her pellets. Her excitement is palpable, and she will eagerly rush towards the cup or bowl, sometimes even knocking it out of your hand if she's too eager. Once the pellets are in her bowl, she happily munches away, seemingly oblivious to everything else around her.

It's important to note that Sugar may have experienced mistreatment in the past, leading to some signs of trauma. As a result, if she feels threatened, she might react defensively. Earning her trust through patience and understanding is recommended.

Sugar would thrive in a home where she has a decent-sized pen to hop around and explore. While she doesn't necessarily need to be free-range, providing her with enough space to exercise and stretch her bunny legs is essential for her well-being.

If you're seeking a companion bunny and are willing to provide a loving environment with a spacious pen for Sugar to enjoy, she might be the perfect bunny buddy for you. She's incredibly sweet, doesn't cause messes or excessive chewing, and has the potential to become a wonderful lifelong companion.

Remember, wires can be tempting to bunnies, so it's essential to keep them out of Sugar's reach. After all, to her, they might resemble delicious hay noodles!
