Spice's Story

MHS friends, meet Spice! While she looks absolutely adorable in her picture, what you may not be able to tell is that she weighs just over 12 pounds...

She is very overweight and whoever adopts her must help her lose weight at a safe rate and introduce exercise into her daily routine under a veterinarian's guidance. How much and what rabbits eat is incredibly important to their health. We must ensure they receive the proper amount of nutrients every day.

Spice cannot hop up onto normal things that bunnies should be able to hop up on. The weight is too much for her body frame and we hope she can get down to a healthy weight so she can begin to feel better and hop around more.

Spice has lived with another bunny friend in an adjacent kennel. She may co-exist nicely with other bunnies! If you like having your bunny out and about with you, come check this girl out! We think Spice would love to free roam; safely supervised, of course!

Spice is such a funny girl. She loves to dig through the hay and forage like a curious gal! She loves pea and carrot flake and never says no to lettuce as a snack!

We absolutely adore this sweet girl. She is so deserving of a family who is going to make sure she has the best bunny life ever. She is a little younger than six years old and she is spayed.
