Our Mission

Visit our website at www.michianahumanesociety.org or our Facebook page for information on activities and events, or to volunteer.

The Michiana Humane Society & SPCA takes in over 1,000 lost or unwanted dogs, cats and critters each year and works hard to find them the best possible forever homes.  All of our dogs, cats, and rabbits are spayed or neutered before going home -- we hope that will help reduce the overpopulation of pets in the future!

Our basic service area is LaPorte County, Indiana and the southwest corner of Berrien County, Michigan.  We do not restrict adoptions to those areas, but preference is given to homes within an hour or two's drive from the shelter.
