Rizzo's Story

Hi there, I’m RIZZO!

I didn’t have the easiest start in life. I was picked up as a stray in Mankato, MN, along with 54 other rabbits, and I’ve definitely seen a thing or two. At some point I even fended off an attack, which is why I’m missing a tiny piece of my nose. I like to think it just adds character—and makes me as unique as my personality.

Despite my rough beginnings, I’m a sweet little gentleman at heart. I absolutely love crunchy timothy hay, fresh greens, and blueberries (seriously, they’re the way to my heart). I enjoy being around people, just hanging out and keeping you company. Pets and floor snuggles? Yes please!

I’m a curious soul who loves digging in my boxes and exploring my space. I have excellent litter box habits, because a gentleman should always mind his manners. I would also do really well with another rabbit—I’d love a friend and would be so happy to have a bunny buddy to share life with.

If you’re looking for a loving, gentle companion with a resilient spirit and a lot of love to give, I might just be your guy.

*RRMN requires all children
be

10+ years old for first time bunny owners and 8+ for those with previous bunny experience. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs). We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA.

If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement. Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
