Porky's Story
Pellets: 1/2 cup oxbow essentials adult (AM)
Hay: Unlimited mixed timothy and orchard hay
Salad: 1 cup romaine and cilantro only (PM)

Meet Porky, a handsome long-haired boy who came to us in February 2026 and is ready to find a peaceful place to call home. Porky is shy and a cautious explorer, taking his time to feel safe in new spaces- but once he does, he enjoys checking things out at his own gentle pace. he will even nudge you with his nose out of curiosity. He loves toys and quiet enrichment, though loud noises can startle him. Porky would thrive in a calm, patient household that can respect his need for a relaxing, low-stress environment. He has excellent litter box habits and keeps his space tidy. With regular grooming to maintain his beautiful long fur and prevent knots and matting, Porky will be a wonderful, devoted companion.

Neutered 2/9/2024

Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) is a highly contagious and deadly disease that affects both wild and domestic rabbits. The virus is causing deaths in rabbits and hares native to North America and is spreading rapidly. In addition to detection of RHDV2 in wild cottontail rabbits and jackrabbits, RHDV2 has been confirmed in domestic rabbits on 50 premises, including a detection in a feral domestic rabbit. Please make sure to vaccinate your rabbits every year. For more information, please visit our website at: https://sandiegorabbits.org/education/rhdv
