Meet Odelia and Onika (Madison foster home)
Odelia (agouti) and Onika came to Wisconsin House Rabbit Society from Oconto Area Humane Society after the shelter took them in along with 42 other rabbits abandoned in a trailer home.
Both Odelia and Onika had their ears chewed on by other rabbits during their time in the trailer. Odelia had to have her left eye removed do to an infection. So being aware that she cannot see on that side is very important when interacting and approaching her.
Both Odelia and Onika are very curious, sweet and gentle. They are shy of being touched; however, they are accepting very short pets before scurrying off. They hop to the door of their cage whenever anyone enters their room. They do seek out interaction but are still skittish and trying hard to overcome that. With time and patience from a loving and caring human companion they will blossom into wonderful little companions who will eventually come to want and enjoy long loving ear rubs and body pets. Children would not be appropriate human companions for them.
If you are interested in meeting them because you feel you are the right human companion for them fill out our adoption application on our website-
https://wisconsinhrs.org/adoption/
They are vaccinated against RHDV2.
If you adopt them, you will receive a free 1yr membership to the Wisconsin House Rabbit Society and a free copy of The House Rabbit Handbook: How to Live with an Urban Rabbit. Also while supplies last a coupon for a free box of hay from Small Pet Select.
