Moose and Freddie*'s Story
Meet Moose and Freddie! These two bonded buns are looking for a new home. They are spayed and neutered and litterbox trained. They currently free roam but would do okay in a large enclosure so long as they still got plenty of time to run around. They are low energy as far as rabbits go and spend most of the day lounging and napping next to each other. They are both very food motivated and friendly. Both are good while being handled for nail trims and examinations. They are not picky about treats, food, or hay. They love any kind of veggie but are most pleased with just some lettuce. They would likely get along with another rabbit with proper introductions, especially if said rabbit were a submissive male. They have previously interacted with cats and large dogs while supervised and did very well.

Freddie is the older of the two. She's a black lionhead and lionlop mix and weighs 4 pounds. She was born 1/17/2019 making her 7 years old. She has been spayed and has no known health issues. She is the more timid of the two, but she quickly warms up to new people after a couple treats. Between the two of them she's the dominant one.

Moose is definitely the more outgoing of the two. He does very well with strangers and is also very food motivated. He is a silver Flemish giant and mini rex mix. Despite looking so large, he only weighs 7 pounds. He was born 4/13/2021 making him almost 5 years old. Moose is very submissive toward his sister. He is neutered and has no known health issues. He does occasionally dip his neck in the water while he drinks causing the fur to get wet and matted so that needs to be checked regularly, but he is very used to being handled and does well for it.

They are being rehomed through no fault of their own. Their own unfortunately doesn't have the time for them anymore.

If you are interested in adopting them or have any questions about them please reach out to melancholicmax@gmail.com! Their current owner is willing to drive up to 4 hours to find them a good and loving home. Moose and Freddie look forward to meeting you.

INDOOR HOMES ONLY!

ABOUT FRIENDS OF RABBITS

Friends of Rabbits is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue operating in the greater DC-metro area.
