Monte Carlo's Story

Monte Carlo came from Sonoma County Humane.

We BET that Monte Carlo has caught your eye. This baby boy bun from a huge family. Being one of 8 brothers and sister means that you don't have to take a GAMBLE as to whether or not he has good social skills. He is the WINNER of our hearts with his charm and charisma. Though he may rough house with his brothers, this sweet boy enjoys zoomies, pets and would be a great fit for a bun in search of a little brother. He has sparkling blue eyes that he got special from his mama Morticia!

Here is what his foster has to say about him:

"We are having an absolute blast with Monte Carlo (we have given him the nickname Carlito). He has enjoyed free roaming (with some limits) and has already learned "spin". He is a real velcro bunny and wants to spend all of his time near us. His forever person will be his best friend! He flopped basically as soon as he got settled. He has a ton of confidence and isn't scared by normal noises (not even the vacuum or the dishwasher). He hops up on our laps and settles down really nicely for pets when he has zoomed around and got some of his baby energy out. He would be a great free roam rabbit, especially as he gets a little bigger.

He has seen our senior bunnies and has been pretty territorial with them. They don't seem to really mind seeing him in the x-pen in our living room but also don't seem eager to hang around him. One of our bunnies got close to him on the other side of the pen and Monte Carlo tried to nip him, so we aren't letting them get too close. He'd probably be a good fit for a younger rabbit who can match his energy. He has excellent litter box habits. When we open the door to the x-pen, he immediately hops out and wants to be part of the action.

He's not a "chewer" but likes to dig and snuffle around. We have given him some enrichment challenges like rolling up pellets in a towel and letting him dig them out and he learned really quickly. He also likes to hop around in the cardboard castle he has."

Monte Carlo is neutered/spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated against RHDV2 (vaccine needs to be administered annually). House Rabbit Society recommends all rabbits see a rabbit-savvy veterinarian once a year.

Submit an adoption application for Monte Carlo at houserabbit.org. House Rabbit Society is located in Richmond, California, just north of San Francisco. Questions? Email foster@houserabbit.org and we'll be happy to talk more with you!
