Our Mission
House Rabbit Society is an international, nonprofit animal welfare organization based in Richmond, California. Our mission has two parts:
- Through our fostering program, volunteers help rescue abandoned rabbits and find permanent adoptive homes for them.
- Through education, we seek to reduce the number of unwanted rabbits — and to improve rabbits’ lives — by helping people better understand these often misunderstood companion animals.
Adoption Policy
1. Submit an adoption questionnaire at houserabbit.org
2. Sign up for our online Rabbit Care 101 Class via Zoom
3. Schedule a pickup. After completing the class, we will send you a link to schedule a foster to adopt pickup! Not all rabbits are at our facility and some may need more time to return in order for you to pick up.
