Breed: Lionhead
Size: About 3-4 lbs
DOB: About one year old as of December 2023
Reason in rescue: Chestnut and Mocha were dumped off at a local
Petco. Chestnut was in the worst shape, luckily other than some super long nails, Mocha was ok! We are very thankful the employees there got a hold of us and we were able to take them.
Personality: Apparently these two girls had been living in someone’s garage, not getting properly cared for. Mocha can be nervous at first and I feel she didn’t get a lot of attention where she was, but she’s learning that people are nice and warms up if you go slow with her. She has been staying with a foster and she is doing so well! She loves to run around and binky like crazy and when her foster mom lays on the floor she'll sit on her back. She does great free range! She likes being petted and doesn’t mind being held. She’s very good with her litter box. Her coat will require some extra grooming but a good brush one or two times a week should be sufficient.
Friends: She is a good candidate to be bonded to a neutered male.
Requirements: Must be adopted as an indoor animal, with an as large as possible plastic bottomed cage or puppy pen (minimum 4' x 2' for a single, 4 x 4 for a pair). Adoption process: An adoption application must be filled out (http://www.judgespark.org/adoption-application.html), and approved by us. Then we will arrange a meeting time to see the animal of interest. A home visit is required prior to adoption (but can be waived if pictures or video are supplied of where the bunny will be living). Suggested adoption donation is $100 which includes her spay, vaccine, and microchip.
