Lily Rabbit Britannia Petite Mix Dallas, PA

Three precious babies were born in our Rabbitat to rescued Momma May on Easter weekend 2022. May was an excellent mother to them and all the babies thrived. We decided to name them after things associated with the month of May and with Easter: Lily, Bloom and Chirp.

Lily and Bloom look like their momma's little mini-me's. They are all precious little darlings.

Lily is a small bunny and only sheds/molts minimally. She displays a very similar temperament as described under the Britannia Petite breed. They are thought of as a fancy show breed, so we don't often see them in rescue. They are intelligent, energetic, inquisitive, and playful. They are cooperative while grooming and seem to bond easily with other bunnies. Lily is a little on the shy side and at times even a bit skittish.

Despite regular handling by our experienced and caring Rabbiteers, Lily is not super fond of being picked up (as is true with most bunnies) and she gets easily spooked. So patience and a willingness to spend time down at floor level with her will help her thrive in her FURever home. Older respectful children only.

Lily is spayed and vaccinated against RHVD2.

Bunnies live an average of 8-10 years, but could live up to 16 or even longer! While they do enjoy gentle pets and head rubs, bunnies generally do not like to be picked up or held as they are prey animals and it can be very scary for them. They also need lots of space to move around, run, binky and play - so no small hutches nor cages. They are social animals who want to be with you and should be accepted as part of the family. They also thrive best in bonded pairs, especially during the hours you are otherwise occupied. They need regular vet appointments just like a dog or cat and should be vaccinated against RHDV2 as soon as it's available in our area. Please do your research before adding any pet to your family. We are happy to answer any questions you may have before and after adoption, as well as assist in helping you decide if a pair of bunnies is right for you.
