Meet Hershey, the 3 year old male rabbit. Hershey had lived with two other rabbits and got along well. Hershey was a little shy about being handled at first, but now after spending lots of loving TLC time with our volunteers, he is much more willing. A rabbit savvy adopter who knows when its time for love and when some alone time is needed would be perfect for this guy. Hershey may do well in a home with another rabbit with a slow, thoughtful introduction. Hershey was previously housed in a hutch outdoors but would be best in primarily indoor living to keep him safe and healthy. Supervised time outdoors to stretch his leg may be appropriate in the future. Hop on down to meet him today! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
