Meet Gizmo
Gizmo was found as a stray and threatened with euthanasia, so he came to NMHRS where he has been in foster care.
In his photos he looks small because he is young, but he will be a large rabbit once fully grown (probably 6-7 pounds). Because of his angora hair, he will need to be combed daily and his adopter will need to be comfortable cutting mats out of his fur. Rabbit groomers do not exist like dog groomers so there is no professional to help you. He will need full haircuts in warmer months, which can take 4 hours. While Gizmo is cute and fluffy, his adopter should be prepared for 10+ years of grooming.
He is neutered and vaccinated for RHDV2. His adoption fee is $75.
