Decker's Story

Hi, my name is Decker. My foster parents call me “Bean”. I was found outside, living under someone’s deck. I am a high energy bun. I love being a house bunny and want to be where ever the action is. I love exploring the house. I love to run at top speeds in the morning and evening. I do not like being in xpen, I truly want to be a free roam house bunny. My favorite place to be is in the windowsill.

My litter box habits are mostly tidy. I occasionally nibble on plants and books that are within my reach, so it’s important to keep those up higher. I love chewing on bunny safe fruit tree sticks. Overall, I’m a non-destructive bun boy.

I live for treat time in the evening, after dinner. I love small amounts of raspberries, apple, blueberries, and strawberries. I also love pellets, salad, and hay. If you shake a bag of food, I will hear it and come running, no matter where you are.

I’m getting used to being picked up, but like most buns, I don’t like it. My foster mom has been working on getting me more acclimated to being picked up occasionally. I will sit for head and face rubs for 5-10 minutes, and then I need to get back to exploring. I will climb over you to make sure you don’t have any fruit treats on you. I’ll sit in your lap for rubs. I love to follow my foster parents and the cats around the house where ever they go.

I have a very expressive tail and you can tell I am happy when my tail is wagging. I really enjoy sitting in the windowsill. I run up to greet anyone who enters my space, but I don’t let strangers pet me until I’ve warmed up to them and they’ve gained my trust.

I’m not sure how I will react around dogs or children, since I have never met any. I love cats. Do you have a bunny who needs a friend?

I would really love a

bunny friend.

I would love to get a chance to meet you and become a part of your life!

*RRMN does not recommend our rabbits as companion animals for anyone under the age of 12*

If you're interested, please fill out an adoption application at: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com.

Gender: Male

Approximate birthdate: 8/15/2020

Approximate weight: 4.92 pounds

Adoption fee: $95.00 (+tax)

RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs). We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA.

If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement. Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
