Daniel Jr's Story

Daniel Jr Came from Peninsula Humane Society.

Though he may be a junior, Daniel Jr. has big bun energy! This curious and outgoing guy wants to know what you are up to and if he can join in. With his big airplane like ears, this rabbit is always listening for the newest hot gossip and is interested in sharing his opinions. Spoiler alert, his opinion is that you are the best *obviously.* Stop by to meet your new best friend.

Here is what Daniel Jr's foster family says about him "He is an extremely affectionate rabbit when given the attention he needs.

We have not tested his compatibility with any other animals, but he has been very pleasant with guests as long as there is not too much noise. I would mainly describe him as an extremely affectionate, curious, and food-demanding rabbit. He does not necessarily like to play, but he loves attention and is most social when given long, designated periods of time where we sit on the ground with him and allow him to explore us.

For the most part, he is very well behaved and has consistently peed and pooped in his litter box. He definitely needs a lot of space and can become a bit angry or restless when he is kept in his pen for too long. He is also very food-oriented, and unfortunately, I have been bitten when trying to interfere with his food or eating time. That said, he will do just about anything for treats and is very compliant when they are involved!

He also likes having places to hide and spends a lot of his free time underneath my couch when he is not roaming around. He does not have any special needs that I am aware of besides attention. I have noticed that he can become a bit less friendly on days when he has had less playtime or human contact."

Daniel Jr is neutered/spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated against RHDV2 (vaccine needs to be administered annually). House Rabbit Society recommends all rabbits see a rabbit-savvy veterinarian once a year.

Submit an adoption application for Daniel Jr at houserabbit.org. House Rabbit Society is located in Richmond, California, just north of San Francisco. Questions? Email foster@houserabbit.org and we'll be happy to talk more with you!
