Hey, I'm Camo! I came into MUR's care fall of 2016 after a community member was concerned about me. My owner abandoned me, and I wasn't coping very well being on my own.

Contrary to my name, I stand out from the crowd with my zest for life and energetic personality. I have been with my current foster mom for over five months now. She says I am the happiest pup when she walks in the door, and probably the most excited to go for walks and adventures! I really love being with my humans, and joining them for car rides. I am the best passenger and just curl up and go to sleep. I also really like meeting new dogs and new people. I can get pretty excited and I generally let you know with my beautiful voice! I am very friendly though, and just really want to make new friends. Kids are great, too! I haven't been around any cats yet, so you may need to help me learn proper manners around them if you have any. I learn quickly, though! I know "sit", "down" and "leave" it, and I am housebroken and kennel trained. Still working on my leash manners!

When I first visited the vet, they discovered that my right hind leg was had been broken a while ago after likely being hit by a car, and no one ever took me to a vet to have it fixed. Fortunately, they were able to help me out with surgery. I had a Femoral Head Ostectomy done and have been doing physiotherapy at home with my foster mom ever since! Initially after surgery I had some complications, so my leg will never be 100%, but I get around just fine and sometimes I just have to take it easy. My new family will have to walk me every day to make sure I don't lose any muscle mass, and help me with my physio exercises a couple of times a week (they are really easy).

I'm very active, so if you're looking for a dog with lots of energy who enjoys playing ball (squeaky toys are my favourite), going to the park or going to work with you, apply to meet me today!

PLEASE NOTE: Because we do not have a public shelter, an adoption application must be filled out in order to be approved to meet any of our animals available for adoption. No exceptions. Serious inquiries only.
