Kinzie Boxer Manhattan, KS

This is Kinzie. She is a 9 year old boxer. We have had her since late last summer. We got her from a breeder in the KC area that needed to find her a home. We are her third home as she was abandoned at age five and then given up voluntarily last year as the family could no longer care for her. She is in great health, on no medications, and up to date on shots. She behaves like a much younger dog. She loves walks and running in the back yard. She is a very sweet dog, but we don’t think that she has had very much interaction with small children as she gets very nervous around them. We are unable to keep her as she has now bitten my 2 year old daughter 3 times. She has never really done any damage but we are concerned that she could in the future. My children are heartbroken but we have to protect them. We would love to find her a loving home for her to spend her twilight years.
I have never seen her around cats and do not know. The breeder told me that she struggles with alpha-type females…as she is the only animal in the house we haven’t seen it. She was house sat for 5 days by a friend with 3 dogs. There was one of the three that took some getting used to but the others she ignored. There was no fighting that I am aware of. She is also fantastic with older kids.
