Jade American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Manhattan, KS

Hi Jade here and I’m ready to meet my new human! First a little bit about me. I’m a two year old pitty. My foster mom said I’m up to date on my vaccines, heartworm negative, spayed and about 50 pounds. My ideal lifestyle is an active one, I’m a born athlete. I’m kind of like the energizer bunny, just keeps going. I’ll play ball forever if someone would just throw it for me. My love for the ball gives me a lot of focus so I’m a pretty quick learner in the right environment. I’ve been hiking and adventuring and it is so much fun, I can’t get enough of it! Going out to see the world is pretty cool but I always have to stay on leash because I can’t help but chase birds and small furry things. Because of this I would also do best without the temptation of cat in the house. I’m currently working on making new dog friends but have been selective in the past with who I like so proper and safe introductions are a must when new dogs come around. Which also mean I would transition into a new house easiest if I didn’t have a new dog brother or sister to get used to. I would also do best with a family with kids 12 and older, I have some boundaries that I like to be respected. Oh and one more thing, I’m a bit of a Houdini so I should be kept in a crate or secure room while left alone. I’ve escaped through front doors when they have the right kind of handle! Good thing is though that I’m completely comfortable when left alone and won’t touch a thing other than my ball.
