Chi Chi is a 2 year old Chihuahua who came here all the way from Texas!

Chi Chi was surrendered to a shelter and previously lived with children and other dogs. He is underweight at the moment but with some good food and time he will be great. He is still a bit skittish right now so we think maybe somewhere a little quieter would be best for him.

When his foster brother Chester gets into his face too much Chi Chi will growl and get upset with him, though we see this a lot with Chihuahuas when claiming 'their' person or space. He is starting to open up and play a little bit with his foster mom. He is definitely a lap dog and will choose his favorite person's lap over wanting to be with anyone else.

He is eating okay now but is a little picky on what foods and treats he likes. He is very sweet and loving and enjoys a good butt scratch! He does better with house training when it is warm out, he's too little for all that wind and cold stuff. He does use puppy pads inside for the most part but still has accidents.

Chi Chi’s adoption fee is $250, and adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad City Area.
