Nala Labrador Retriever & American Bulldog Mix Bettendorf, IA

This is Nala, a happy, wiggly bundle of boxer and labrador retriever. Weighing in at about 63 pounds and standing about 20 inches high at her shoulders, Nala is ready for her new home!

Nala had a very, very tough start, neglected and abused – extremely underweight and displaying several pressure sores, but that's all in her past now! Nala is happy and healthy, spayed, up-to-date on all vaccines, - the picture of health. She is probably about one to one and half years old.

Nala likes her people and adjusted to her newest foster home quite quickly. She likes other dogs, but she may be a little too friendly for some dogs. Our older dog just ignores her, and Nala is happy to play with her toys and balls all by herself and with her people. Nala has been in a home with very small children and does well.

Nala LOVES to snuggle on the couch with her humans, and she is also VERY content in her kennel. No whining or barking there! She is housebroken and does a great job of sitting quietly while you hook the leash on her collar. She is an enthusiastic eater and enjoys occasional dog treats. Nala likes to be near her people; as long as she can keep an eye on what you're doing, she's a happy girl. She walks nicely on a leash – no tugging or pulling or barking at every squirrel.

Nala now sports a healthy, shiny black coat with tips of white on all four feet, an adorable bib, and a soft pink muzle that is half back and half white. What you can't see in her pictures is the delightful white lightning streak on the back of her head.

Nala is just a little bit shy and submissive, probably as a result of her past. This makes her a docile, obedient, happy little companion who will make your home complete!

Nala’s adoption fee is $250, and adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad City Area.
