Meet Mocha Latte!

This sweet angel is a breeder release dog. As with most breeder release dogs, it is important to remember that they have lived their entire lives in less than ideal conditions so they will need to be trained. Many have never lived in house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, they have never been loved, pet, or groomed.

The best thing about these beautiful souls is that they will learn--- with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion.

Notes from Foster:

10/14/19: Mocha Latte arrived matted, so her luxurious coat needed to be shaved down. Although, I think she is still beautiful. Today she visited the vet and was updated on all of her shots. This girl loves other dogs and wants to blend in with her pack of three other fur-sisters. Mocha is learning to potty on pads and still is leery of the cold, wet stuff called grass. She accepts the fact that she has to wear a sweater and allows you to take it on and off as needed. Still shy, she will accept yummy treats from your hand, but only looks on inquisitively when the fur sisters sit in her foster mom’s lap for pets. The good news is that if Mocha Latte has made this much progress in Day 1, I know that she will transition quickly into a loving and caring home. If you have enough love & patience, you will truly be rewarded when Mocha blossoms into the dog that she should always should have been.

The process involves: the application, vet check, reference checks, and a home visit (may be in person or video). It may seem like an arduous process, but again, it is all about finding the perfect fit for both pup and new family. When approved, the applicant is asked to travel to foster's location to pick up their newly adopted dog unless other arrangements are made.
