Ruthie would like to be adopted with her buddy Pickles, who is also posted.
Ruthie is also about 2 years old. I adopted her from the HS at about 4 months old to be a companion for Arsinoe. She is spayed and microchipped. She was a feral kitten brought in to them, and one of their "hidden treasures." She was EXTREMELY fearful and trembled like a dog afraid of lightning when held. She found a hiding place in a closet in the room I had her in and would only come out to use the litter box or eat ... always when I wasn't around. After a week of no progress I went back to the HS and brought home Pickles at 3 months old, an extremely social kitten. She became Ruthie's social bridge. The first night Ruthie came out of the room with Pickles. She still hid when I was in the immediate area, but followed Pickles' lead and eventually began to trust. She is still a skittish and shy kitty, but wants to be loved. She has the loudest purr. She loves pets on her cheeks, ears, head, and butt, which immediately goes up in the air when scratched. She is not a snuggler or lap kitty, but will stretch out on the floor and roll and purr and knead when she wants you to sit down on the floor and pet her. Ruthie is very food motivated. She is the sweetest girl once she trusts you. But still needs Pickles for comfort when spooked or upset. Ruthie gets along fabulously with other cats, and she loves dogs.

They all eat Friskies canned 2x a day, and have dry for free feeding, which is the Blain's Farm & Fleet store brand, the Gourmet and Seafood Medley mixed together. They get Friskies Party Mix, and boiled chicken, for treats.

They are indoor/outdoor kitties. My yard is fenced, and even though they can go through the slats, they hang out around the immediate house area, play, lay in the bushes or on the grass with each other and will come in when called. They split their time in and out through the pet door.
