Ross Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix Normal, IL

This handsome young lad is Ross - he's a 1.5 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who weighs about 55 pounds. Ross is the sweetest and just wants to be close to his favorite humans so that he can cuddle and give kisses! He loves every person he meets and greets them with enthusiasm, although he is getting much gentler with his "hellos." Due to his energy level, he needs to go to a home where there are no children under the age of 12 years old.

Ross has a favorite volunteer at Wish Bone and she takes him on adventures about 3 times per week. He rides wonderfully in the crate in her car - a crate is recommended for car rides because he gets really excited, which can make it hard for you to drive. Ross loves exploring ISU, Funks Grove, and Rollingbrook park on his adventures with his friend! He has excellent leash manners on his walks and is so happy to get the exercise. He doesn't appear to be phased by bicycles, scooters, roller blades, or strollers.

Ross has some small prey drive on his walks and he won't do well well with a cat or other small animals in the home. On his walks, he is pretty good about waiting for another dogs reaction before he reacts. If they ignore him or seem friendly, he is happy to keep on walking. However, if the other dog is reactive, Ross will react in turn. While he seems to have interest in some dogs, he does need to go to a home where he is your one and only canine love.
