- Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered, special needs. He does have idiopathic epilepsy. His seizures are manageable and very well controlled on medication, but epilepsy is lifelong, not always predictable and he will require medication daily for the rest of his life. Despite this, Anubis can lead a completely normal life and is so deserving of such!.

Anubis is a handsome, outgoing 1.5 year old neutered male, 60 pounds of wonderful. His exact breed is unknown, but our best guess is a Thai Ridgeback/Heeler cross. All we know for sure is that he turns heads wherever he goes! Anubis has not had the easiest start to life, but we continue to be amazed by his good-nature, tolerant ways despite everything.
Anubis loves his people, all people actually, and until his current foster situation, he has always lived with kids of all ages and does excellent with them. He loves the company of other dogs and would be ecstatic to have a younger buddy to run and rough house with. He loves to play chase and tug of war. Anubis has been exposed to cows, sheep and horses and has done well in every situation. He does very well with cats, though sometimes gets a bit excitable if they decide to “play chase.”
Anubis has AMAZING recall. He hikes off leash regularly and stays very close to home and his person no matter how much room he has. He also loves to play fetch! Anubis would do best in an active home with lots of room to explore, plus some hiking, running, biking and swimming with his people! He is a high energy dog and will go, go, go with you. However, he does very well in a crate when left alone and loves to go for rides in the car.
Although Anubis is truly an all around dog, he is special needs. He does have idiopathic epilepsy.
