MAXIMUS Cattle Dog & Pointer Mix Lincoln, NE

Maximus is a goofy boy who loves attention from people and is great on a leash (see video: https://youtu.be/XNBOueMEUtI). Maximus is very comical and will keep you laughing with all his silly antics. He loves to smile as you can see from his photos and always brings sunshine wherever he goes. Maximus is potty-trained and does great in his kennel at night, sleeping through the night without a peep. He gets along with female dogs of all sizes, and smaller male dogs. We are not sure how he does with cats (his foster family does not have any). Maximus is true to his cattle dog breed and does like to herd, so a home with older kids (12+), would be best for Maximus. He deserves a fun-loving family or person that will take him on lots of adventures!

Max is a Cattle Dog/Pointer mix, weighs 54 lbs and was born approximately 5-1-17. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventative. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.

We are a foster-home based rescue group and do not have a facility. We are 100% volunteer staff. All communication is done via email AFTER your application has been submitted. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference and home ownership, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records.
