Attention shepherd savvy folks! Introducing Abel! Abel is seeking a shepherd savvy rescue, foster or foster to adopt! Someone who is home more often than not would help this fella to thrive! Because of the stress of the shelter environment and lack of constant companionship, unfortunately Abel is a bit anxious and nervous here in the shelter. A person with much time at home and patience available to work with Abel to help improve his manners would be a good match. Abel prefers female humans (not fond of male humans). A canine sibling of similar size and similar energy level might be a good match. Teens and adults in the home are recommended, simply because of his size. Abel's favorite toys include balls and rope toys. Once he builds a bond with you he will stick right by your side. Staff has found Abel is not really treat motivated.
