Etta Jane Shepherd & Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Billings, MT

Etta Jane is a sweet 1 year old shepherd/heeler mix momma dog ready for her own home. She came into rescue pregnant and gave birth to 8 adorable puppies. She’s now ready to be herself and not be mom anymore. She loves to play chase with the other teenage puppies and true to her heeler self, nips at their heels. She gets excited when her foster mom comes home and nips a little at her hands for attention (could be her just fighting for attention from the others). She is very tender hearted and does not like to be in trouble. She likes to cuddle and sleep in bed with her human. She does not like to be crated. She would love to have a playmate as she still has playful energy. She does bark at times, usually with the other dogs and usually at things outside the yard (ie other dogs, bunnies, ducks, people) She is potty trained by way of using a doggy door. She does chase the cats some but hasn’t hurt them. Usually b/c they run and she naturally gives chase. She needs A LOT more socialization outside her home to become more comfortable with the outside world. Leashes are kind of scary and so are car rides, but more positive outings will help. She will need time to adjust to her new home and new people, but she is very sweet and will love on your once she knows you are her person. She loves food and is treat/food motivated.

Her adoption fee is $100.00. She is spayed and is up to date on vaccinations including rabies. You must have a fenced yard or live in the country with safe acreage for exercise in order to adopt from us. We require that our dogs be allowed in their family home and be allowed to sleep inside at night. An adoption contract is completed and signed at the time of adoption.
