Meet Barney

Barney is a 9 year old white & tan smoothie, who has lived amiably with other dogs, cats, and parrots.
Barney loves people and walks well on leash. He is house trained and house safe - and we are working on some crate manners. Barney has done fine with older dog-smart children.
Barney is looking for a home with humans who are home most of the time and willing and able to give him a reasonable amount of daily exercise. He has spent a lot of time recently left alone for 10 hours plus a day, so Barney has some separation anxiety and wants people who will be there for him as much as possible.
Barney does have some resource-guarding issues with other dogs, so although he is dog park safe and gets along well with other dogs in the great outdoors, it would be best for him to be an only dog in his adoptive home unless you are experienced in handling a low level of space and lap-guarding.
Barney is in foster care in the Portland area. His adoption fee is $200.
