Shelby Labrador Retriever Sioux City, IA

This pretty older girl is Shelby. She was picked up as a stray and taken to our local animal control. Like a lot of them, she was never reclaimed. You can only imagine how long she sat there being a senior, at the time she was not in the best of health. She was severely underweight and needed medical attention to get her to where she was adoptable. She is 10 yrs old and does have some issues that come with age. She has some arthritis and hip dysplasia, so it is hard for her to be in a sitting position very long. She can climb stairs but it is difficult for her to get into a vehicle so a little help is needed. She also is hard of hearing. Shelby does not like to be kenneled but really doesn’t need to be. She does not have accidents in the house, she will let you know when she needs to go out and barks to come back in, or she will use the doggie door. She does not chew on things she shouldn’t – she’s well past that puppy stage! She loves treats! She gets along with other dogs, not tested with cats. She is current on vaccines, spayed, micro chipped and has had her teeth cleaned. Adoption fee is $135.
