Kimchi Whippet & Retriever Mix Wadsworth, IL

Hi! My name is Kimchi, but I am now named Willow by my previous adopters. I am approximately 1.5 years old and I arrived around 13 months ago with 4 of my siblings. I was adopted when I was approximately 4 months old and now need to find a new home. The Corgi that I live with and I don’t get along anymore. I do enjoy the company of other dogs, however, if they are small and submissive it is probably not a good match. I would do best with larger male alpha dogs.

My mom is heartbroken to have to find a new home for me and this is what she has to say about me:

Willow is a very sweet dog who loves to be outside. She loves belly rubs and for her neck, butt, and thighs to be scratched. She knows sit, eat, and come, but she doesn’t like to listen well when called in. Lunch meat bribes work. She is a little skittish, so don’t move to fast or she’ll jump. She has two male dog friends - the neighbor dog and another bulldog that come by the fence. If you give her a stuffed anything it will be demolished in short order and be all over the house. All in all, I think if Willow was the only dog, it would be best. I think she can still be trained to do other things as she is very smart. We love Willow and want her to get a good home. She was just at the vet and they said she is a perfect weight and health she is also up do date on shots and was spayed as a puppy.

Willow is still very much a young playful dog and will need a family that can exercise her appropriately. Ideally she would have a fenced in yard to spend time in and play.
