Buster was found at a school playground where he was romping and playing with the kids at recess time. No one came forward to claim him, so he was taken to the rural shelter where they were out of room and his number was up. Dolly's Legacy saw his sweet face and knew we had to help him. Buster loves people of all ages and has done well around other dogs. He would love a family to call his own where he will never again be abandoned or left to fend for himself.

Buster is a Shepherd/Lab mix, weighs 45 lbs and was born approximately 4-1-17. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed. Buster is being provided life-saving treatment for heartworm disease and will need an adopter who understands he must remain on monthly heartworm preventative for life (as recommended for all dogs, but critically important for him). Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.

We are a foster-home based rescue group and do not have a facility. We are 100% volunteer staff. All communication is done via email AFTER your application has been submitted. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference and home ownership, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records.
