Meet London

Meet London! London is a beautiful, sweet Blue Heeler Mix.

Her history is not clear to us, but we do know that she was neglected as a young dog. As a result she is a little shy when it comes to people. Despite her shyness and her life being flipped upside down by coming to the shelter, she has never once shown any aggression due to her fear. In fact, she has progressed so much while she has been with us and will approach us to lick our fingers.

London has been in foster a couple of times since she has been in the shelter, and she is reported to be a well-behaved girl in the house. We feel confident that she will settle into a home quickly.

This girl will be an amazing loyal and loving companion for the person who can be patient and help her learn trust the world and people around her.

London came to us very overweight and is on a diet and exercise program. She is doing great on the leash, and we are encouraging her to keep moving those paws so that she can be her best self. She has started to enjoy her walks and will sniff every bush for new smells.

London will likely do better in a home with another, more confident dog. This will help encourage her to be active, as well as show her how to be a confident dog.

She would love a secure, fenced yard so that she can explore the outdoors safely.

If you would like to give this girl the loving home that she deserves, come and meet her today!

We cannot confirm that dogs who come from the shelter will be house trained.

Most adoptable dogs will need some reintroduction into a home, potty training, basic manners and social skills.

Please be prepared to provide the training and dedication that will be needed.

We do not have any way of knowing if a dog or cat will do well with all children or all other animals.

*** This is why it is important that we introduce everyone in the home to the new pet. Please plan to have the whole family come visit.

*** We also require that any family dogs come into meet your potential adoptee. Please be sure your dogs are spayed or neutered and current on vaccines (distemper - parvo and rabies) before bringing them to the shelter.

*** All dogs must be transported home in a travel crate to transport your new pup home safely.

*** Renters must provide a copy of a lease indicating pets are allowed or contact information for the landlord.

If you are interested in meeting or adopting one of our pets or have questions about the process please see our website at www.adoptmountainpets.org or call the Shelter between 11:00 am and 5:45 pm Tuesday through Saturday. 970 626 2273
