ROCKY Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler & Border Collie Mix Lincoln, NE

Rocky is a typical rambunctious cute puppy and can make anything a toy. He was very shy when he first arrived but is really coming out of his shell and is an absolute love bug. He gets along with all the other dogs at his foster home, both big and small. Not sure how he does with cats as the resident cat will not let him get close enough to tell. He is working really hard on potty training but he is still a puppy so will need a dedicated adopter to house train. He sleeps in the kitchen at his fosters house at night and doesn't make any noise. He is very treat motivated and his foster mom is sure he will pick up tricks quickly as he has already mastered sit. He needs a big, fenced yard in his forever home as he loves to explore and be outside. He has been around a 12 year old and with as loving as Rocky is, he should do fine with children of any age. He has a fenced back yard at his foster home and loves to go out and play and run with the other dogs. He loved going out and running in the snow! Rocky is looking for a family who give him lots of love and attention.

Rocky is part of our "Paw Patrol Pups" who are Australian Cattle Dog/Heeler/Border Collie mixes born 10-1-18. Rocky is a neutered male who weighed 16.8 at his vet visit on Jan 28th. He has been vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and given flea/tick/heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.

We are a foster-home based rescue group and do not have a facility. We are 100% volunteer staff. All communication is done via email AFTER your application has been submitted. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference and home ownership, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records.
